TITLE: "The Orgone Accumulators"
WHERE: bG Gallery
WHEN: February 7th - February 19th, 2014

The owner of bG Gallery asked if I would like to co-curate an exhibit with him at the gallery. He had exhibited my artwork, but this would be our first time collaborating on an exhibition. It was really epic!

He selected a list of artists and so did I. At the time I was fascinated by the idea of Orgone Accumulators; these strange devices that supposedly recharged your orgone energy and cured all types of ailments, which were developed by a scientist named Wilhelm Reich. In fact, the blurry photo in the background of the flyer is a still from the film "W.R. Mysteries of the Organism" which is a strange avant/garde film about orgone accumulators.

There were a bunch of interesting and epic works in this show, including several of John Knuth's paintings made by feeding flies food coloring and having them land on a canvas. I remember having those in my car and thinking that they had a smell, but no one else could smell it so it may have just been my own paranoia.

The coolest part of the exhibition was that Om (owner of bG Gallery) built an orgone accumulator in the center of the gallery and we had guests sit in it and experience the energy of the artworks in the room.
