Roarke Menzies creates atmospheric soundscapes using only his voice, which he runs through an assortment of effects pedals and looping devices. I had never seen anyone do that live before, so I was stoked when he invited me to his show at Beacon Sound, which was one stop on his tour to support a new cassette tape he had released called "Breath's Length." If he's performing in your city, you must go see him live!
PS: I really wanted to tell Andrew Dice Clay jokes through his vocal rig. It would've been epic!
